Nickey Gregory to highlight Family Fresh Foods

Launched in 2018, Family Fresh Foods is the new in-house processing business unit of the Nickey Gregory Co., which is a full-line produce distributor with overnight deliveries throughout the Southeast.

At the upcoming Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure 2019 trade show, the company will be showcasing this new division.

“Family Fresh Foods — a.k.a. FFF — processes fresh cut vegetables for our expanding customer base across the Southeast,” said Andrew Scott, director of marketing/business development for the Atlanta, GA-based company.

GFE-2017-truck “We started this business last year and we have been growing units every month.  We are very strong in the foodservice and wholesale business and look for this to grow more.”

As it showcases FFF during the show, Scott said it will direct its customers and potential customers to the line of items under the FFF banner.

“Value-added is our biggest growth area and this is why we created Family Fresh Foods,” he said.

“We will be displaying our line of fresh-cut vegetables from Family Fresh Foods, mainly geared toward the foodservice industry.”

The company will also tout the new export business that it has added to its Nickey Gregory Miami location.

Scott said the SEPC “is very important to the Nickey Gregory Co. as we feel that this is the best organization in the produce business.   The SEPC has the best trade show around and we will continue to be a top level Gold Sponsor for years to come.”

The company has exhibited at other shows, including those that are national in nature, but “we feel that we still get the best ROI by attending Southern Exposure each spring.  The SEPC brings in the decision makers to their shows, high-quality people that hand out the POs and make the buying decisions.”

The company has been involved in the SEPC show every year since 2004 when the event was held in Lakeland, FL. Scott invited attendees to visit the company’s representatives at Booth No. 1100 this year.

The company uses the show to both drive new business and say hello to old friends. “We enjoy connecting with our existing customers, but we’re always looking to grow and add new business to our daily routes across the Southeast and Florida,” Scott said.  “With our Nickey Gregory Miami location, we can cover the state of Florida from Homestead to Pensacola from Nickey Miami and Nickey Atlanta.”
